Most people in our country would know Cowboy Jack Clement for his songs, which got recorded by countless stars of Country Music. But Clement is also producer, singer, songwriter, studio manager etc. etc. Just Someone I Used To Know, Guess Things Happen That Way or Ballad Of A Teenage Queen are only a small selection of songs equally well known over here in Switzerland. George Jones, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Charley Pride - the list of stars who recorded Clement's songs is almost endless.

Clement worked at Sun Records, went to Nashville where he worked for Chet Atkins. A move to Beaumont, Texas, brought him and George Jones together. Back in Nashville, Clement financed a demo-tape for a young singer named Charley Pride and convinced some people at RCA to get this young guy a recording contract. Clement also wrote two hits for Pride and produced the first thirteen albums for him.

John Lomax III's company Kinetic Management is distributing a DVD which tells the story of Cowboy Jack Clement and his career through interviews, concert highlights, recording sessions and much more in a compact one-hour documentation. And as a side effect you may get to know another side of artists such as Johnny Cash, George Jones or Waylon Jennings.
