Zane Lewis inherited the musicality from his father, rather not the sound though. Daddy used to pratice Bob Wills tunes on his fiddle late at night at their home in Lubbock, Texas, and get himself ready for the next gig in his western swing band. Son Zane is rather drawn to the rocky side of things. Zane stayed off public audience with his music for quite some time. Only when he sold a self-founded magazine to a large publisher, he used part of the money to hit the studio and record his debut, This Town.

Now the sophomore Zane Lewis hit the streets and Zane let's you know right with the opener which side his bread is buttered on. Of the twelve songs on the album, ten were penned by well known Nashville songwriters. The other two, Fly and Bad Ass Country Band were co-written by Zane. Just when you think that your heated musical scale can't take no more, Zane drops in songs like Leavin' or Off The Record to cool you down - at least a bit.

My favorites on this album are the calm Even A Leaf and also the total contrast to this, the track Bad Ass Country Band. No doubt, here comes a future chart buster. Get ready and listen.
