The Show Me State is home to many legendary talents in music history. Ferlin Husky, Porter Wagoner, Wynn Stewart…I could go on and on and on. Reason enough for bass player and singer Dave Owens to produce a CD featuring these and other artists with a relation to Missouri: Timeless: Voices Of The Dogwood.

Ferlin Husky is among those who lended their voice to this project. I Feel Better All Over is the name of the song where Old Ferlin can be heard. Other duets are Someday When Things Are Good with Leona Williams or Always On My Mind with Linda Cable.

Twelve songs penned by well known writers, such as Bill Anderson (I’ll Go Down Swingin’), Cindy Walker (In The Misty Moonlight) or Billy Yates (Choices). There’s also a track written by Dave Owens called Heaven’s In Texas (how true).

A project packed with classic, traditional country music. Enough to hang out in the good old times for almost 45 minutes.
