  Crossing the state line at Needles. Eat at the Wagon Wheel.

There are two stretches of Mother Road here.

One from Needles via Goffs, Fenner to Essex. 

For the other we took Mountain Springs Road to reach Essex.

Arriving in Cadiz. It's a ghost town. But the sign by the rails is there.

  Amboy. Roy wanted $2M when he sold the town. Finally it went for less than 25%.

 Bagdad was a famous site for movies.  

In Ludlow, we visited the Ludlow Cafe - but not the old one.

Stone signs welcomed us to Daggett.  

  Barstow is worth spending some time.

In Victorville, Historic District and Route 66 Museum are must see  

Shopping in one of the many Antique Stores is fun.

To Cajon Pass and Summit Inn    

Don't get lost on Foothill Boulevard, it's pretty tricky to follow...
