Renowned and award winning Guitar Player Steve Morse has teamed up with Singer/Songwriter Sarah Spencer to produce a first acoustic album under the team’s stage name Angelfire.

Bluegrass and Folk mix with Pop and Jazz. Can this work? Yes, it can.

Morse has recorded over forty albums so far, but never a project like this. He has collected six Grammy nominations, has been awarded Best of the Best Guitar Player for five years in a row by Guitar Player magazine. Spencer recorded her first self penned songs at the age of eleven. She was labeled a musical child of prodigy with her unique and pristine voice.

So it’s a premiere for both musicians and it sounds a little psychedelic. Listening to some songs, the golden years of the group Yes comes to your mind, with the difference that this here is played acoustic. One such song is Take It Or Leave It. My favorite on this CD is the final track, Urban Decity, which portrays best the clear voice of Sarah Spencer.
