This new release by Rustie blue beats expectations by far. Often artists signed to independent labels have to work hard to get a new production to the market. A long four years the timespan was with Rustie's new album. In return on Stronger Than Steel Rustie comes across with first class musicians, excellent songs and a voice that has gained enourmously over the past years.

Rustie focuses again on selected songwriters. In the Willie Mack duet It Hurts Like Love it's Deborah Allen. In Fall In The First Place or Hooked On Honky Tonk it's Bobby Tomberlin and Giles Goddard. But she also self penned the second duet with Willie Mack, the title track Stronger Than Steel.

Overall, this album comes across a lot more traditional than earlier productions, even though you could hear traditional country there, too. It's just a more round, flowing and compact project this time. But Rustie also shows her Bluesy side on this twelve track CD. And as a bonus you can listen to her duet hit Chip Chip, written and co-performed by whispering Bill Anderson.

May all the success be with this congenial singer. She sure deserves an increasing audience of fans.
