Even though David Cline will turn 60 in two years, he only wrote his first song - Heart And Soul, a tribute to his mother - some twelve years ago. And with this song he started a career that he might even not have expected himself. Meanwhile he produced in cooperation with his wife for thirty years, Becky, six country albums and one gospel album. His current release is titled Texas Hold 'Em.

Except the Dennis Adkins title Ace In The Hole, which already turned into a big success for George Strait, and the Lefty Frizzell Hit If You've Got The Money, David has written all tracks himself. It's great Honkytonk Sound, exceptionally well played and Cline's voice sounds as if he never had done anything else than singing in dancehalls.

Just One Beer Away explains how alcohol can ease your tongue and after a few more beers you dare to talk to the lady near you. Ridin' Course shows the ups and downs of a relationship. And there are still many little towns in Texas, where folks meet for a Small Town Street Dance on the square in front of the courthouse.

Indeed, David Cline was some decades late in detecting his talent.
