David Frizzell, himself a legend and the younger brother of the legendary Lefty Frizzell, has ventured a production which brings real country sound to the fans. Together with numerous stars, such as Chrystal Gayle, Helen Cornelius, Bobby Bare or Gene Watson, he recorded twenty classics that raise the heartbeat of each traditional country lover.

Together with the CD, buyers will receive a 100-minute DVD which shows the recording procedure to each song. For all who don't know what studio work means, this DVD gives excellent insight to the efforts involved in coordinating so many artists to produce this duet CD.

It's primarily the selection of songs and artists which guarantees this production a classic-status already upon it's release. Many of the presented artists don't get commercial airplay all that much these days. But all of them proof that they can easily hold up to the younger crowd of airplay leaders. To reach the status of a legend it takes more than airplay. It takes personality and uniqueness. And that's exactly what these friends of Frizell and himself are offering.

My favorites among the twenty tracks are Wedding Dress For Sale with Chrystal Gayle, If You've Got The Money I've Got The Time with Merle Haggard and Something 'Bout You with Lacy J. Dalton.

Hats off to producers who take the adventure of getting such an album to the market. Hats off to David Frizzell and all involved artists. A real tidbit for all country music lovers.
