Hard to believe that this band is already around for ten years. And still there are the same four musicians who stand for the success of Little Big Town. Something that is not at all coming natural in the fast lane business of the music industry. 2002, 2005 and 2008 were the dates of their CD releases, even though their current release, A Place To Land, came already in 2007, they've replaced it with an enhanced version one year later and added some bonus tracks. These sixteen songs are arranged in today's modern style, properly produced crossover and country music. 2006 the band was honored with the ACM Award as Top New Vocal Group.

And it's indeed their harmony vocals what makes this quartet special. Play songs like That's Where I'll Be or I'm With The Band to get a feeling of what I am writing about. Somewhat more on the rock side of things are Fury or Novocaine. And yes, you can also find calmly presented stories such as Only What You Make Of It.

This band which is still performing two to four live shows per week seems not at all tired and comforted by success. They continue to go their way forward. As singer Kimberly Schlapman once said: "This is our music, our way to tell stories about our lives. We've put so much of ourselves in it. We want the world to hear our music." So be it.
