Here comes number three of Robert Bo McGuire, the talented artist from Ohio state. Country Pride presents ten songs, penned by different songwriters. For the first time, there's no focus on a specific writer and there are several great cover songs that allow the listener to compare McGuire's capable voice to the original artist's versions.

My favorites on this production are She Took The Honky-Tonkin' Right Out Of Me and the title track, Country Pride. This song perfectly describes why singers like McGuire feel attached to traditional country and will never cross the line in favor of success or fame.

Also a premiere is a duet with Jessie Lyn Fisher, the classic When A Tear Becomes A Rose. Some other classics, recorded by McGuire's idol, George Jones in his early years, are available on this release., too. The closing track, Jesus And The American Soldier is an hommage to the man and women in uniform who put it all in to protect the freedom and people in this country.

Sit back, relax and listen to The One I Loved Back Then, to Tall Tall Trees or Patches and feel the spirit of the times when country was still country.
