For all those who know little about Texas Music, Paloduro Records has produced Luckenbach! Compadres! The Songs Of Luckenbach Texas. A sampler with fifteen selected tracks giving insight to the wide range of Texas artists. In addition, the CD is for all those who had their share of Nashville sound as it is pleasantly shining out from the mass of the usual "Country" releases coming from Music City.

Some names are known also in Switzerland, such as Two Tons Of Steel or The Derailers. They are meeting the likes of Brian Burns, Tommy Alverson or Cory Morrow who might be known only to insiders in our country. However, several of the songs are better known to Swiss country fans. Take Desperados Waiting For The Train, written by Guy Clark, London Homesick Blues by Gary P. Nunn or Redneck Mother by Ray Wylie Hubbard.

Jerry Jeff Walker wrote Viva! Luckenbach on his 1994 album with the same title. The song is telling about the regular jam sessions in the small town of Luckenbach. You can meet musicians almost daily and if you are lucky, some of the big names drive by and help jamming. Every now and then a sign says: Town Closed For Recording Session. When you see this, you can almost be sure that Paloduro Records is producing another set of excellent Texas songs.
