Waddell
is still touring in Europe with his band Hellbound Train. He also stayed true
to his adopted country Germany. The latest CD Lone
Star Over Texas is a collection of ten traditional country songs, all
written and performed by David Waddell.
As a Swiss who migrated to Texas, I was clearly interested in first listening to the three Texas theme songs Way Down Texas Way , Waco Saturday Night and the title track Lone Star Over Texas interessant. It's solid songwriting and catchy melodies that you get to hear from the speakers.
Further suggestions from the playlist include the calmly presented Tennessee / Mexico, which to my opinion best accentuates Waddell's voice and the uptempo song Muther Trucker.
I wish David all and continued success which he deserves. With the current album he has by all means added another shiny stone to his career-mosaic.
