From his home in South Caroline, David Waddell moved from Tennessee to Texas and finally ended up last year in Germany, where he is based today. As a musician, Waddell was playing the last three decades with many great artists, such as Townes van Zandt or Willie Nelson, just to name a few. He travelled on countless tours and managed to develop his own music along the way.

His current album, Truck Broke Down, is his second solo production. Twelve songs, all written by David, tell stories from his own life such as in the title track, Truck Broke Down or about the little man (Hard Times For The Working Man) or the soldier leaving his loved ones to fulfill his duties (Drums Of War).

But Waddell also cultivates the romantic side of things with Greatest Love Of All and ballads, such as Lady And The Outlaw. And he gets sociocritical on Wake Up America. Great songs with some profound lyrics and excellent skills as a musician are his personal attributes. That's maybe why my old friend, Billy Joe Shaver, once noted: "One of the greatest songwriters and musicians I've ever known." www.davidwaddell.eu
