I
usually don't review Best Of albums. However, with this K.C. Williams
production, I am happy to do so. First, you just have to love this friendly
nice guy from Wisconsin and second, his motto "Let's Go Beyond The
Color And Unite The Country" probably never had more actuality and
truth than at the time I am writing this review: Just two days before the
inauguration of America's first african-american President, Barack Obama.
You would think that K.C. had a vision when he created his mission statement
many years ago.
The
album represents a great overview on K.C.'s work, which resulted so far in
three productions, House Husbands, City Boy and Without
A Doubt. Four of the totally sixteen songs are new ones. Among them is
You Shot Me Through The Grease, an exceptional duet with the talented
singer Cynthia Mae Talley.
So
if you did not know K.C. Williams until now, go and buy this Best Of production.
It may well be that you emerge as a new fan of the singer and you go out and
buy the other CDs after listening to this one. Because one thing is for sure:
K.C. Williams sings with his heart on the line and this feeling can even be
experienced by listening to a shiny CD.
